The Oyster Perpetual Magnetic Pioneer Antimagnetic Watch is designed to meet the needs of engineers and scientists. It appeared in 1956. The watch is resistant to magnetic fields with a strength of 1,000 gausses. “Mille” means a thousand in French, hence the watch’s name. The magnetic look is the first of its kind while blending unique aesthetic elements and scientific traditions.
The Oyster Perpetual magnetic type is matched with a mellow black dial and luminous hour markers. The green crystal mirror reduces light reflection and keeps the display time clear. The green crystal mirror is a unique watch mirror developed by Rolex, which is not only scratch-resistant, non-fading, and only used for magnetic-type watches. The Magnetic GV features a black dial with white hour markers and orange luminous hour markers at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. The green crystal mirror has a lime tint to reduce light reflection and keep the display clear. It is another first for Rolex. The grid-shaped simple lines and the orange lightning-shaped second hand are easy to identify.
Rolex uses an Oystersteel forged stainless steel watch case. The Oyster steel developed by the brand belongs to a class of 904L steel. This alloy is widely used in high technology, aviation, and chemical industry, so it must have high corrosion resistance. Oystersteel is highly durable, and when polished, it gives off a dazzling brilliance that remains undiminished even in extreme environments. All metal scales are made of precious metal. Not only are the scales gold, but the hands are all gold. Blue dial with 18 ct white gold easy-to-read Chromalight luminous hour markers (lasting luminescence), 18 ct white gold Chromalight luminous hands, orange lightning-shaped seconds hand, and the overall tone is vibrant and dynamic with a large crown.
This watch is finely polished from every angle, and the metallic luster is translucent. The straight lugs naturally link to the bracelet, and the curves of its profile are impeccable. The triangular grooved case back is screwed by the Rolex watchmaker with a unique tool exclusive to the brand so that the patient is completely sealed. The winding crown adopts Rolex’s patented double-lock double waterproof system, which is firmly screwed to the case.
The Oyster Perpetual Milgauss is equipped with a comfortable and safe Oyster bracelet and a folding Oyster clasp designed by Rolex, which is still engraved with the Rolex logo.
